Phew! We’re done. The Braun Beauty Tour for 2006 has finally finished after travelling all over Europe, and epilating thousands of people along the way. The UK leg managed to epilate over 2000 of you, and my legs are now smoother than they’ve ever been. Especially useful given my next job :) – you’ll be seeing a lot more of me shortly.

We had a lot of fun in Birmingham, and I even managed to meet up with some friends from Big Brother including Alison and her little girl for lunch, and then PJ in the evening who showed the team the town to celebrate our last night – you Brummies definitely know how to party.

You guys also love to be epilated, and you loved it so much that you managed to buy all the Silk-Epil X’elles in Birmingham. We promise there will be more soon, but if you are desperate to get your hands on one, visit http://www.boots.co.uk/ or http://www.argos.co.uk/ now.

Day Five & Six

Wow, Leeds was busy – and crazy. I can’t believe how many of you came out to see us, we did over 800 epilations in the two days we were here.

We also had a massive number of entries for how “Best Legs in Britain” competition, and we’ll be announcing the winner to that after we’ve visited Birmingham this weekend.

Luckily for me, we were right in the middle of the shopping street, and so I got the chance to check out the sales – our beauty expert, Gilly Popham, went a little crazy though and bought over 12 makeup bags in one go!

I also had an interview with OK Magazine, so check me out on its Last But Not Least page later this month.

Right, off to Birmingham, and will update you on that soon.

Day Three & Four

After a long journey from Milton Keynes to Bristol due to a huge traffic jam on the M4, we finally made it to Bristol ready to show even more women how to make the best of their legs on the Braun Beauty Tour. With my fantastic team of beauty experts and hostesses, we epilated over 450 women on Saturday and Sunday – that’s a total of 900 legs! We had some really fantastic entries into the ‘Best Legs in Britain’ competition – one of the highlights being a 60 year old giving me tips on how to make sure that my legs are as good as hers by the time i reach that age!

We also had the chance to give away lots of goody bags and free Braun Silk-epil X’elle epilators – i hope that you were one of the lucky ones!

I’ve got a break now for a few days to recharge my batteries, but looking forward to seeing you in Leeds or Birmingham.

Day Two

Phew, it’s only the end of day two, and I’m already amazed by how busy it’s been. Seems like legs are something that everyone gets excited about! The second day of the tour was in Milton Keynes, by the X-scape shopping centre. It’s really cool here, if I’d had time I could have even gone skiing

The day was another glorious day, and the people here are fantastic, and definitely up for a laugh. We had loads of people getting themselves epilated by our team of beauty experts – the women in Milton Keynes must have the smoothest legs in the country right now! It’s been great to meet everyone and sign autographs and have photos taken – can’t wait to meet more of you in Bristol, Birmingham and Leeds!

Got to rush as am in Bristol for the weekend, but will post more later. Hope to see you soon.

Day One

Yesterday we were in Southampton, and it was fantastic. So many people turned up, and I even got to epilate a construction worker which was hilarious!

The crowds from Southampton were so lovely and friendly. We challenged one poor guy to see if he could identify his girlfriend’s legs from two of her mates (all standing behind our special ‘boyfriend curtain’ to hide their top halves). Bless him; he only guessed the right legs for one girl! I think they forgave him though.

There were some fantastic legs on display and I think it will be difficult to beat some of them. If you think you’ve got the best legs in the UK, then come along and impress me . We’re in Milton Keynes today, and I’ll tell you more about that tomorrow, and then Bristol at the weekend.

I’m Kate Lawler and I’m working with Braun on a nationwide tour this summer to scout out Britain’s Best Legs! They’ve conducted some research which has produced a scientific formula and I’m tasked with finding the legs to match it. I’ll also be their celebrity fitness ambassador showing girls how to make the best of their legs with the new Braun Silk epil X’elle.
